This recipe is said to be great for stretch marks and improving the appearance of skin with age spots or other blemishes. (Note: Please don’t use this scrub on skin with open sores or cuts. Other than the risk of infection or irritation, the lemon juice will also be REALLY painful!)
This scrub is also a great way to prep the skin before applying fake tan.
Ingredients:
2 parts raw cane sugar
1 part olive oil
1 – 2 tsp lemon juice
Steps:
1.Mix the sugar and olive oil together well
2.Add the lemon juice, and stir until the mixture has a “scrub” consistency.
To use:
Use this beauty treatment two to three times per week on the affected areas of the body. Apply to the skin and massage in well, leave for around 15 minutes, and then rinse off. (A good way to do this is to apply it to your skin when you first get in the shower and then rinse it off before stepping out of at the very end of your shower).
The citric acid in the lemon juice of this recipe will help to promote skin turnover and, mixed with the olive oil, it will help to buff off the old, dead skin cells. The sugar will also help to exfoliate the skin and promote circulation, while the olive oil helps to spread the mixture on the skin and adds moisture.
Follow with applying lotion or balm for a smooth, polished and moisturized feel and appearance!
