    12/13/22:  THIS PRODUCT HAS BEEN ON ORDER, but as is the case with numerous products during Covid, the manufacturer has had numerous delays in manufacturing this product.  We continue to wait for a positive update from the manufacturer. any day now.  Emulsifying wax, vegetable-derived. Our Emulsifying Wax NF is a waxy solid prepared from Cetostearyl Alcohol containing a polyoxyethylene derivative of a fatty acid ester of sorbitan.  Cetostearyl Alcohol (aka cetearyl alcohol) is a blend of Cetyl Alcohol and Stearyl Alcohol. These two fatty alcohols can be derived from vegetable and animal sources.  This is an all-vegetable, gluten-free wax. This wax is not treated with a detergent. Other than what’s posted here we have no other information, the formula is proprietary to the manufacturer and they will not divulge it.

    INCI: Emulsifying Wax NF

    Shelf life - 3 years
    Melting point - 50-54 C (122 F - 129.2 F)
    Ingredients - 80% Cetostearyl Alcohol and 20% Polysorbate 60
    Appearance - white to off-white in color; small pastilles or granules.  This product is non-ionic.

    PACKAGING:  Purchasing 10 lbs., 25 lbs. or larger quantities of a granular/powder product (clay, pumice or any product listed in our Salts, Sugars & Powders category) doesn’t mean you’ll receive one package containing all of the pounds purchased.  We will prepare individual plastic bags whose weights will add up to the total number of purchased pounds.  For example, do not expect 25 lbs. of a powder product to be packed in one 25 lb. bag.  There could be the rare occasion where we could receive from the manufacturer a 50 lb. factory-sealed bag and we’ll turn around and ship the same bag to a customer who ordered 50 lbs. of a powder product.

    This E-wax works as expected. Before this, I used an e-wax from a different company but switched to this one after a couple of my emulsions broke. This one has not failed me, and it is also a good value.
    Perfect for my body butters

    Wonderful product!! Before, I would make my own lotions and facial creams and they would never turn out like I expected. Until I started using emulsifying wax, now my stuff looks and feels like store-bought brands. Thank you!

    The quality of emulsifying wax is great, and the price is unbeatable! I did a *LOT* of price comparison before settling on Camden Grey, and trust me when I tell you, this price is the best deal you will get. I made 18 lotions with this batch (with plenty of wax to spare) and I swear it's the best batch of lotions I've ever made. Will be buying again!

    I used this specific sites Emulsifying wax with my friend a few weeks ago and made my first homemade lotion. I liked it so much I'm going to make future christmas and birthday presents, and am even thinking about starting a little out of my home business. Anyhow, I thought I wouldn't be able to get enough to play around with my ideas for twenty bucks but this was a fantastic buy and will let me play around and create as many new concoctions as I want! Super happy.

    I've tried other emulsifying waxes - even the ones that are 3 times this price - and this one is my favorite. I never have any separation of product and it doesn't discolor when heated like some others do.
    Excellent product

    This is a must have if you are making lotions. I use only 1 to 2 teaspoons of emulsifying wax per cup of lotion, but it always comes out with a wonderful, creamy consistency. My skin is very sensitive to chemicals (thus the reason I make my own lotions) and I have had no adverse reactions to this product.

    TERMINOLOGY:

    EO = essential oil

    FO = fragrance oil

    HOW PRODUCTS ARE DISPENSED...

    BOTTLING/PACKAGING:

    Essential oils: Are sold only in the quantities/net weights listed on our website. These oils are shipped to us by the distiller or manufacturer in industry-standard metal or plastic containers and that’s how we ship them to you.

    Carrier oils and most other liquids are dispensed in individual HDPE plastic pails or containers with some type of handle, each container holds the purchased net weight of liquid.

    Soft butters such as Horsetail and Almond are dispensed in plastic HDPE pails w/metal handles; those butters may remain inside the pails indefinitely when properly stored. Hard butters such as Cocoa are dispensed factory-wrapped in plastic and placed inside a box. Castile Gel is dispensed in a self-contained cubitainer with pouring spout.

    NOTE: While the packaging methods mentioned above are generalized, we reserve the right to dispense and ship in any available container. If a customer at any time feels more comfortable transferring an essential or carrier oil to glass, this should be done.

    Raw materials/ingredients are sold and dispensed by weight. Many customers ask how many ounces are in a pound, there are 16 ounces in one pound. These are not fluid ounces, they are ounces by weight.

    HOW TO STORE: EOs, FOs and BUTTERS should be stored in tightly-sealed containers away from direct light and heat. Some EOs and FOs could be highly flammable, keep away from open flames and from varnished or wood surfaces. Keep all liquids and powders you purchase from Camden-Grey tightly capped and away from the reach of children, the elderly or infirm and pets. Refrigerating butters could adversely affect the consistency of a butter, please join our Forum if you need to learn how to handle, work with and store products.
