Ylang Ylang III essential oil
    Ylang Ylang III essential oil
Purchase Ylang Ylang III essential oil

    Botanical Name: Cananga odorata

    Plant Part: Flower

    Country of Origin: Madagascar

    Method of Extraction: Steam Distillation

The aroma of Ylang Ylang is sweet, floral and heavy. There are several grades of this essential oil. The large flowers of Ylang Ylang are subjected to fractional steam distillation, yielding, in succession, ylang-ylang extra, I, II, and III. The grades (Extra, I, II and III) indicate from which fraction of the steam distillation process the oil was obtained. Ylang Ylang III is an excellent oil for aromatherapy and soapmaking.

Ylang Ylang relaxes and arouses; in Europe, therapists use this oil for sexual dysfunction. Eases frigidity and impotence. It is said to be antidepressant, antiseptic, aphrodisiac and sedative. Excessive use may lead to headaches and nausea. Could possibly irritate sensitive skins and is indicated against use on inflammatory skin conditions and dermatitis. Could well ease feelings of anger, anxiety, shock, panic and fear. Useful with rapid breathing and heartbeat; its sedative properties could help bring down high blood pressure. Soothes anger. Has a tonic and stimulating effect on the scalp promoting a more luxurious hair growth.

Blends well with bergamot, citronella, jasmine, lavender, lemon, rose, sandalwood and verbena. Flash point: 167F.

    Deep stuff

It is very hard to describe what this smell it like. It is deep; it is a base note. You know this is not fragile and will not fade like a top note. I would not exactly call it a floral, in that it does not smell like rose or gardenia or anything light and subtle. Ylang is often described as sensuous or sexy. Maybe it is. It can be mixed with Lavender or Rosemary, and surely many others.
    Sweet, heavy

Smells great and is super super strong. You only need a little to go a long way. Sweet, almost cloying aroma with heavy floral notes.
    Great Price, Great EO

Surprisingly enough, I am not a huge fan of Ylang Ylang in general. However, my customers love it and Camden Grey's Ylang Ylang #3 is better than others I have used. It tends to be an expensive oil and so I find the price here to be very fair and the oil to be lovely. Thanks Camden Grey!
    Heavenly aroma!

I received my purchase yesterday and had to make a lavender/ylang ylang lotion immediately! I love the scent of this Ylang ylang. It reminds me of honeysuckle flowers and is perfect because I wanted to add some more floral essential oils to my stock.

I like the smell of this a lot especially when diluted a little in a carrier oil! I am very curious to how this smells compared to Ylang Ylang and Ylang Ylang II.
    Great product

At first I wasnt sure about its scent, it's very floral. Now, it's one of my staples which I use in my home made flax seed gel. It is very soothing and great for the scalp.
    Love it

Sweet and soft oil. I love it! Did wonders for my hair. Helps give your new growth a beautiful start. Used it in my scrubs, and body butters. Looking forward to experimenting more with this oil. But I'm also going to try the Extra one next. Lovely oil though!
    Nice Sweet and Light Scent

I used this EO in HP soap and it performed wonderfully! The bar is a beautiful white (oo/co/castor/shea) and this scent comes out nice and light with a hint of sweet florals growing in the woods. It isn't like flowers in a garden...Its a bit "deeper" but subtle. I used 1 pound per 2 pounds of oil (I like a light scent). The standard 1 lb/ppo shouldn't be overkill. This is a favorite soap of mine, as well as friends and family. I highly recommend it!
    Love it!

I wear this as a simple perfume! Got it to keep my bp normal in pregnancy and I believe it's really done the job, but in the process fell in love with the scent!

    HOW PRODUCTS ARE DISPENSED...

    BOTTLING/PACKAGING:

Essential oils: Are sold only in the quantities/net weights listed on our website. These oils are shipped to us by the distiller or manufacturer in industry-standard metal or plastic containers and that’s how we ship them to you.

Carrier oils and most other liquids are dispensed in individual HDPE plastic pails or containers with some type of handle, each container holds the purchased net weight of liquid.

Soft butters such as Horsetail and Almond are dispensed in plastic HDPE pails w/metal handles; those butters may remain inside the pails indefinitely when properly stored. Hard butters such as Cocoa are dispensed factory-wrapped in plastic and placed inside a box. Castile Gel is dispensed in a self-contained cubitainer with pouring spout.

NOTE: While the packaging methods mentioned above are generalized, we reserve the right to dispense and ship in any available container. If a customer at any time feels more comfortable transferring an essential or carrier oil to glass, this should be done.

Raw materials/ingredients are sold and dispensed by weight. Many customers ask how many ounces are in a pound, there are 16 ounces in one pound. These are not fluid ounces, they are ounces by weight.

HOW TO STORE: EOs, FOs and BUTTERS should be stored in tightly-sealed containers away from direct light and heat. Some EOs and FOs could be highly flammable, keep away from open flames and from varnished or wood surfaces. Keep all liquids and powders you purchase from Camden-Grey tightly capped and away from the reach of children, the elderly or infirm and pets. Refrigerating butters could adversely affect the consistency of a butter, please join our Forum if you need to learn how to handle, work with and store products.
