Apricot Kernel Oil: (Armeniaca vulgaris, Prunis armeniaca) Apricot Kernel is a light but rich oil which is especially good for sensitive skin, as well as for and skin that is inflamed or dry. It can be used alone or in massage and is used quite often in lip balms and creams. It is particularly helpful for dehydrated, delicate, mature or sensitive skin.
This oil has a high vitamin A content. For soapmaking, one should use one or two ounces for every pound of fat. It is normally used at 15%-50% strength, although it may be used full strength. SAP value: 190.0. INCI: Prunis armeniaca (Apricot) kernel oil. Shelf life: 9 months to 1 year when stored tightly sealed in a cool place away from heat and direct light.
This oil is food grade, cold pressed and refined; however, Camden-Grey sells its products only for external use. It is the customer’s responsibility to understand the information contained in a product’s MSDS and to become familiar and well versed in how each product should be used, including a product’s precautions, if any. I used to buy apricot kernel oil at a local store before launching my product line, but came here for it when I needed a larger volume. Boy was I surprised!
Apparently, the oil I was purchasing previously from the other guy WAS RANCID.
When I was lucky enough to stumble upon this oil here, I bought some and quickly learned that this oil has little to no scent, glides on well and works wonders in lotion applications. The other guys' oil was sticky when applied AND it used to give me problems; batches of lotion would get thrown out! Turns out, it's more affordable here, ounce for ounce, and the quality is consistent. Thanks!

I use this oil in some of my face oil recipes that are for sensitive skin. Mostly for oily skin types. I have found that although a great moisturizer for most skin types, when I use it as a base before make up, my eye makeup doesn't stay put. I would use it more as an evening, before bed moisturizer.

From using, this oil absorbs easily. It works to soften, soothe and relief dryness and scales from the skin and best of all it is light and non-greasy. It even moisturizes, heals and protects mature and/or sensitive skin. Interesting fact I found out: historically, apricot oils and kernels have been used in traditional medicine to treat tumors.

I absolutely love this oil, I have very sensitive but oily skin, this oil was very light and absorbed very quick leaving my skin so soft and smooth. Please keep this oil..

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS OIL. I DIDN'T REALLY KNOW HOW THIS OIL WORKED OR WHAT IT WAS FOR WHEN I GOT IT, BUT THIS WORKS PERFECT FOR MY SCALP IT KEEPS ME FROM GETTING DANDRUFF AND IT DOESN'T IRRITATE MY SCALP OR CAUSE MY HAIR TO FEEL WEIGHED DOWN. TO MY SUPRISE IT'S A LIGHT OIL BUT ITS VERY MOISTURIZING.

I love this oil. It's so light, yet deeply penetrating. I usually add this oil to Camden's Grapeseed oil at about 30% it's a great combination for my dry skin when I put it in my lotion (Goats Milk lotion base- from Camden of course)!

Apricot oil is a wonderful oil to add to your skin care ingredients. It is one of the few oils my 89 year old mother can use without issues. It soothes, moistens and softens like no other! She rants and raves each time she receives her box of soaps and lotions.

We publish on our website those documents for most of our products, some products don't provide either because the product doesn't require it. BULK ITEMS: When a customer adds a bulk item to the cart, the customer’s immediately shown on the screen how many number of days should be allowed for the bulk product to arrive at our location with the minimum being 12 business days counting from the business day after the customer placed the order on our site.

HOW PRODUCTS ARE DISPENSED...
BOTTLING/PACKAGING:
Essential oils: Are sold only in the quantities/net weights listed on our website. These oils are shipped to us by the distiller or manufacturer in industry-standard metal or plastic containers and that’s how we ship them to you.
Carrier oils and most other liquids are dispensed in individual HDPE plastic pails or containers with some type of handle, each container holds the purchased net weight of liquid.
Soft butters such as Horsetail and Almond are dispensed in plastic HDPE pails w/metal handles; those butters may remain inside the pails indefinitely when properly stored. Hard butters such as Cocoa are dispensed factory-wrapped in plastic and placed inside a box. Castile Gel is dispensed in a self-contained cubitainer with pouring spout.
NOTE: While the packaging methods mentioned above are generalized, we reserve the right to dispense and ship in any available container. If a customer at any time feels more comfortable transferring an essential or carrier oil to glass, this should be done.
Raw materials/ingredients are sold and dispensed by weight. Many customers ask how many ounces are in a pound, there are 16 ounces in one pound. These are not fluid ounces, they are ounces by weight.
HOW TO STORE: EOs, FOs and BUTTERS should be stored in tightly-sealed containers away from direct light and heat. Some EOs and FOs could be highly flammable, keep away from open flames and from varnished or wood surfaces. Keep all liquids and powders you purchase from Camden-Grey tightly capped and away from the reach of children, the elderly or infirm and pets.
