Foraha (not an essential oil, this is a carrier oil) a/k/a tamanu, kamanu and Alexandrian laurel. Botanical name: Calophyllum inophyllum. Sold by weight.

This beautiful cold pressed greenish, slightly waxy oil is rich and thick, with a delicate nutty, honey like aroma. Foraha is said to stimulate cell regeneration and is said to be good for fragile or broken capillaries.
Foraha is a traditional medicine in the Orient/Southeast Asia where it is used for its analgesic, anti-inflammatory and cicatrizant properties. Foraha is known to have been used to treat leprosy. Users say the oil helps wounds to heal and is soothing for eczema and skin irritations such as burns, rashes and insect bites. It is used as an aid for relieving pain, healing wounds, herpes lesions and post-surgical scars.

A combination of foraha and Ravensara aromatica essential oil has been used successfully as a treatment for shingles. This oil is highly recommended as a facial oil, either alone or with essential oils added. Shelf Life: 6 months to 1 year when properly stored. Since this is a slightly viscous oil, it should always be stirred well before using. This is an all natural, unrefined oil and some color raviations can be expected.

Foraha/Tamanu oil, Virgin, Organic.  Country of Origin:  Vietnam.  Grade:  Cosmetic grade.

    Effective face and healing oil

This Tamanu oil is a favorite in my face oil blend, greatly improving the appearance of my complexion and never clogging my pores. It has also proven to be the perfect FO for the varicose veins on my face and based on the suggestion in the product description tab, I used it on my husband's shingles rash as well as for the pain afterward from post herpetic neuralgia, bringing him faster healing and much-needed relief. Just a note: be sure to shake well before each use as it has a harmless residue that settles at the bottom of the container.

I bought this product a couple of months ago to try it and I have incorporated it into my skin regimen twice a day. Blemishes have disappeared, friends comment on how "bright" my complexion. This is indeed a miraculous product, so much so that I have ordered a couple of bottles to give as gifts.

As a previous reviewer stated, this IS a miracle in a bottle! I am so sorry I only ordered a small quantity because I am in love with this carrier oil. Its gorgeous colour along with the amazing feel of the raw product won me over immediately. But once you incorporate this into your face skin care regimen, you are going to wonder how you got a long without it. It is, for sure, the "secret" ingredient to beautiful skin.
    God send miracle

I saw this oil on another web but it was too expensive for me to buy, but the reviews that previous customers had written drew me to it. My son has had a rash during the summer almost from the day he came home from the hospital, 15 yrs later, I am still to get rid of it. I have tried everything over the years but they only cleared his skin for about a month and it would come back. And in the past three years has become worse and he was diagnosed by his pediatrician, with eczema but the cream he was given cost so much money even after insurance, and the worst part was he could not use it once the rash clears. I saw it at CG and bought a 2 oz sample to try and I'll never try anything else again, because it works like a charm his rash dried up almost immediately. I love this oil even the smell just bought another one and can't wait to get as it'll become a stable in my war chest thank you CG, you've a customer for life.

DEFINITELY shake this oil very well before using. It has a type of sediment that settles to the bottom of the bottle and you want to make sure you get all that healing goodness throughout the entire oil! After re-reading the site info on Foraha/Tamanu oil I realized that I really should make a mix of the Foraha with the Horsetail Butter that I also have. I was using the HB on my spider veins but saw that Foraha is also good for delicate and broken capillaries so off I go to mix the two and experiment on myself. Foraha does have an odor but I wouldn't call it unpleasant. It reminds me of a peppery, spicy, curry-ish sort of smell---I like it. I can see not wanting to add it in great quantities to any of your daytime oils as it would interfere with any scents you might wear but at night its benefits are too good to pass up. Just one more thing to add: I have a chronic inner ear infection that can get quite painful and lately it acted up to the point of real pain in my ear and jaw. I mixed a little Foraha with Tea Tree oil and Lavender and put the drops way into my ear with a glass dropper and then held my ear lobe up and out until the oil passed into the inner parts of my ear. Lay on my side for about an hour (took a nap actually) and did this 2-3 times a day for two days..infection not bothering me now!!! I may have found the alternative to those darn antibiotics they keep trying to put me on.

I have purchased Tamanu Oil from CG twice and both times the quality surpassed Tamanu I had tried elsewhere. The price is the most reasonable I have yet to see. This is a great opportunity, and I thank CG for doing so. I will only buy it from CG.

I liked this oil so much, I came back and purchased a larger, second bottle the next time I ordered. I bought it for its properties of analgesic, anti-inflammatory,cicatrizant (warming to the skin), healing for eczema and psoriasis. It is very thick, but pourable, smells nutty-green-like to me. I like it all by itself, and blended with other EOs. I have used it on my face, but found I can not use it near my eyes. I find that when I use it on my hands it is a little greasy at first, but then like magic, after 5 minutes or so, it absorbs and dries down to a velvety matte finish on my skin. Great for my extremely dry cuticles and hands. A little pricy, but soooo worth it! Camden-Grey has the best price on the web
Surprised how quickly it relieved my irritated skin!

Two months ago I developed itchy hives on my neck from an allergic reaction. I tried so many creams & lotions with no or very little results(even got put on steroids). I then read about Foraha (tamanu) and in despiration purchased some, hoping it might give me some relief. Well, was I surprised when I noticed a difference almost immediately-no kidding! My neck had been bright red all day and shortly after applying the Foraha my husband looked at me and said, "your neck looks like its getting much better." This is day two and my skin continues to heal and feels much better. Thank you for much for such a wonderful product. I would recommend this to anyone with irritating skin problems.

Foraha has become a fast favorite of mine. While the green color was a turn off at first, I found that it worked well with other oils and the benefits could be felt in creams at even a small amount. The combination of Foraha and Ravensara really does work great on many skin issues too.

    HOW PRODUCTS ARE DISPENSED...

    BOTTLING/PACKAGING:

Essential oils: Are sold only in the quantities/net weights listed on our website. These oils are shipped to us by the distiller or manufacturer in industry-standard metal or plastic containers and that’s how we ship them to you.

Carrier oils and most other liquids are dispensed in individual HDPE plastic pails or containers with some type of handle, each container holds the purchased net weight of liquid.

Soft butters such as Horsetail and Almond are dispensed in plastic HDPE pails w/metal handles; those butters may remain inside the pails indefinitely when properly stored. Hard butters such as Cocoa are dispensed factory-wrapped in plastic and placed inside a box. Castile Gel is dispensed in a self-contained cubitainer with pouring spout.

NOTE: While the packaging methods mentioned above are generalized, we reserve the right to dispense and ship in any available container. If a customer at any time feels more comfortable transferring an essential or carrier oil to glass, this should be done.

Raw materials/ingredients are sold and dispensed by weight. Many customers ask how many ounces are in a pound, there are 16 ounces in one pound. These are not fluid ounces, they are ounces by weight.

HOW TO STORE: EOs, FOs and BUTTERS should be stored in tightly-sealed containers away from direct light and heat. Some EOs and FOs could be highly flammable, keep away from open flames and from varnished or wood surfaces. Keep all liquids and powders you purchase from Camden-Grey tightly capped and away from the reach of children, the elderly or infirm and pets. Refrigerating butters could adversely affect the consistency of a butter, please join our Forum if you need to learn how to handle, work with and store products.
