I have to admit that out of the bottle this oils stinks. HOWEVER, when you blend it with some lemongrass, grapefruit, lemon or lime essential oils, it becomes suddenly wonderful. You must use a very small amount though, as it is quite strong. I keep coming back to ginger blends for my soaps and aromatherapy diffuser recipes and I love this oil. Give it a chance - don't trust how it smells out of the bottle.
    Warm and Spicy....Perfect

This ginger EO is perfect for a warming massage blend. When diffused with lime EO, we find it brings a calm, uplifting vibe to the house...if that makes sense! A little is all that is needed.

I bought this primarily for cooking but also for some aromatherapy recipes I want to try. It will open up to a nice fresh ginger smell once diluted, but smells so pungent, full strength, it is almost garlicky. Amazing for cooking, blend with sesame oil.
    Nice in spicy blends

This oil is strong and it doesn't take much to spice up a fragrance. I use it with orange scents or in combination with cinnamon and clove scents also. Just a hint of it will add a bit of lasting power to perfume blends. Great product!

My daughter and I both love, love, love this ginger essential oil! It's very strong, as others have mentioned, and it goes a very long way. We made a blend using 1 part ginger, 1 part basil, 2 parts fennel, 4 parts grapefruit, and 6 parts lemon, and added it to sunflower oil for a really nice summery oil for massage, and for our cellulite. The ginger shines through beautifully. Not sure our legs look better, but they sure do smell good! I am looking forward to soaping it. It's so nice when you can use such a small amount. On the fence? Go for it! You'll be glad you did. =)
    Whoa!

Ginger fan over here! Definitely have to be careful with this oil. A little goes a looong way!! If use too much the smell is quite strong. Gave me a headache. But the benefits is GREAT! Great for PMS. Definitely did wonders for my scalp and hair. Skin as well. Love this oil. Look forward to experimenting this with other things. Thank you Camden Grey!
    Don't judge by first sniff!

To all who consider purchasing this oil, please bear in mind that it is HIGHLY concentrated and VERY pungent! When I received my order a few days ago, I opened the bottle, took a deep whiff, and was shocked by how little it's scent (initially) resembled the fresh ginger I use in my cooking. It wasn't until I diluted it in a carrier oil that its true beauty (and YES, its warm and spicy FRESH ginger aroma) came shining through. This oil is one I am especially eager to add to my CP soaps!
    Ginger oil fan!

I used this EO to make a fragranced body oil that is a hit with my fiance and I. The spicy scent brought out the other oils involved in the combination to create an enticing aroma that calmed me down to a meditative state. I always loved the scent of ginger and this EO smells so much like freshly cut ginger that I want to cook with it...lol...
Will you hand me the ginger please?

Ginger is a staple in our household for food, and now with Camden-Grey's ginger essential oil it is a staple in my cold process soap. If you ever use fresh ginger in your food, this is exactly how it smells. Thanks to this wonderful product, my family can not only enjoy the benefits of ginger in our diet, but now as a skin care product! Excellent product and this was the best price I could find on the product after doing extensive comparison pricing. But even better, the better price was not a sacrifice in quality.

    HOW PRODUCTS ARE DISPENSED...

    BOTTLING/PACKAGING:

Essential oils: Are sold only in the quantities/net weights listed on our website. These oils are shipped to us by the distiller or manufacturer in industry-standard metal or plastic containers and that’s how we ship them to you.

Carrier oils and most other liquids are dispensed in individual HDPE plastic pails or containers with some type of handle, each container holds the purchased net weight of liquid.

Soft butters such as Horsetail and Almond are dispensed in plastic HDPE pails w/metal handles; those butters may remain inside the pails indefinitely when properly stored. Hard butters such as Cocoa are dispensed factory-wrapped in plastic and placed inside a box. Castile Gel is dispensed in a self-contained cubitainer with pouring spout.

NOTE: While the packaging methods mentioned above are generalized, we reserve the right to dispense and ship in any available container. If a customer at any time feels more comfortable transferring an essential or carrier oil to glass, this should be done.

Raw materials/ingredients are sold and dispensed by weight. Many customers ask how many ounces are in a pound, there are 16 ounces in one pound. These are not fluid ounces, they are ounces by weight.

HOW TO STORE: EOs, FOs and BUTTERS should be stored in tightly-sealed containers away from direct light and heat. Some EOs and FOs could be highly flammable, keep away from open flames and from varnished or wood surfaces. Keep all liquids and powders you purchase from Camden-Grey tightly capped and away from the reach of children, the elderly or infirm and pets. Refrigerating butters could adversely affect the consistency of a butter, please join our Forum if you need to learn how to handle, work with and store products.
