Our refined shea butter from Ghana is cold expeller pressed and carbon treated to remove the impurities. It is not solvent extracted, but mechanically extracted, there are no impurities left whatsoever, this butter is almost odorless. Shea is extremely moisturizing and gentle to the skin. In soaps, it gives a very luxurious feel to the finished product. It can also be added to creams and lotions or used alone for massage, skin cream, applied directly on small skin burns or applied to hair.
Shea butter is not hard and crumbly like cocoa butter, its color ranges from white to ivory white; it is creamy at normal temperature.
Shea butter is remarkably high in unsaponifiables, up to 11%, making it a superfatting material for soapmaking. To use in soapmaking (2-5% of your total fats and oils) melt the shea butter at very low temperature with the other solid fats. To superfat with shea butter add 1-2/3 tablespoons per 5 pounds of soap, melted and cooled to approximately 75F (24C) just before adding the scent. SAP value: 180.0. INCI: Butyrospermum parkii.

I have re-ordered Shea Butter from Camden Grey multiple times and I keep coming back for more. It is great butter, melts nicely, is non-grainy, and works great in my soaps. There is little discernible scent and it works great in lotions, bath and body products and cold processed soap.

I've ordered this shea butter multiple times. Every batch has been white, creamy and very smooth (no crumbles, grains or separation). The color changes nominally from batch to batch. It retains a hint of the natural scent of shea, but not so much that it contrasts with fragrances. I use this in most of my formulas - from lip bam to lotion to soap. It's outstanding every time. One of my favorite products from CG.

I am not buying my Shea from anyone but Camden-Grey! It is the best of any I have tried. One huge PLUS is the fact they do not melt it to pack it in plastic buckets!!! I love the smell of the butter too. I have had no issues with any of the materials I buy from CG. Thank You CG for selling quality and taking good care of your customers!!!

This is the best quality and priced refined butter I have tried. It is wonderful for my cosmetics and body recipes as there is no odor to interfere with the delicate scents. It goes on smoothly, absorbs quickly and feels great. I use so much I had to get 5lbs!

I have purchased this item a few times now from Camden and am very happy with it. Other shea butters I have used have been grainy. This one stays creamy when I use it. It's also good for acne prone skin as it does not clog pores. Love it.

I had been looking all over to find a smooth, non-grainy Shea Butter, but I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. The key was getting ultraRefined and I was so happy to have found it here. I had my fingers crossed when it arrived and to my delight, it was perfectly smooth, creamy and had a wonderful scent. This is a great, high quality product as is to be expected from Camden Grey. I will be purchasing again.

We publish on our website those documents for most of our products, some products don't provide either because the product doesn't require it. BULK ITEMS: When a customer adds a bulk item to the cart, the customer’s immediately shown on the screen how many number of days should be allowed for the bulk product to arrive at our location with the minimum being 12 business days counting from the business day after the customer placed the order on our site.

HOW PRODUCTS ARE DISPENSED...
BOTTLING/PACKAGING:
Essential oils: Are sold only in the quantities/net weights listed on our website. These oils are shipped to us by the distiller or manufacturer in industry-standard metal or plastic containers and that’s how we ship them to you.
Carrier oils and most other liquids are dispensed in individual HDPE plastic pails or containers with some type of handle, each container holds the purchased net weight of liquid.
Soft butters such as Horsetail and Almond are dispensed in plastic HDPE pails w/metal handles; those butters may remain inside the pails indefinitely when properly stored. Hard butters such as Cocoa are dispensed factory-wrapped in plastic and placed inside a box. Castile Gel is dispensed in a self-contained cubitainer with pouring spout.
NOTE: While the packaging methods mentioned above are generalized, we reserve the right to dispense and ship in any available container. If a customer at any time feels more comfortable transferring an essential or carrier oil to glass, this should be done.
Raw materials/ingredients are sold and dispensed by weight. Many customers ask how many ounces are in a pound, there are 16 ounces in one pound. These are not fluid ounces, they are ounces by weight.
HOW TO STORE: EOs, FOs and BUTTERS should be stored in tightly-sealed containers away from direct light and heat. Some EOs and FOs could be highly flammable, keep away from open flames and from varnished or wood surfaces. Keep all liquids and powders you purchase from Camden-Grey tightly capped and away from the reach of children, the elderly or infirm and pets. Refrigerating butters could adversely affect the consistency of a butter, please join our Forum if you need to learn how to handle, work with and store products.
