Sold by weight. "Squalane is a stable, complex biogenic liquid that is odorless, tasteless and transparent. Until recently, the primary source of Squalane was shark liver oil. However, after years of research, a group of European scientists have developed a new process to derive this precious moisturizer from a non-animal source, olives.

Squalane is chemically inert material that is a normal constituent of the human sebum. Since Squalane is naturally-occurring in man and is non-toxic, non-irritating, hypoallergenic and non-sensitizing, it is an ideal natural emollient.

Squalane works synergistically with other emollients and humectants in formulas to enhance their penetration into the stratum corneum. This helps replenish the skin's natural emollient, sebum that is essential for healthy looking skin. Dry parched skin now feels dramatically softer, more supple. It works and it is also expensive."

If you haven't tried this oil yet, you are seriously missing out. I've been using this oil for about 4 years now and it's the best product I've ever put on my face. It's very light and sinks in quickly. As someone who use to suffer from cystic acne for 16 years, I can tell you from experience this stuff works! I've found that this oil is phenomenal after an exfoliation.

I have ordered this squalane oil from Camden-Grey twice and plan to order again soon. This oil is very lightweight and is similar structurally to the oils that your face naturally produces. I use it in a night serum that I make and also a acne prone skin oil/moisturizer as it is non-comedogenic. It absorbs quickly and makes your skin feel incredibly soft. I have had a hard time finding a supplier of squalane that also carries other carrier oils, and ingredients for my cp soaps. I am very glad that camden-grey carries such a wide selection for all my needs. It has consolidated my ordering process greatly, and I have also been very happy with the quality.
    Great Oil!

I just got this and tried it today with emu oil. Its really great stuff. Its so light and sinks in so fast on its own, I'm wearing it under mineral makeup now. I don't have another oil I'd put on before my makeup. It really is that light. I think its a great idea to use this own its own, not diluted in a formula. Its so thin and speads so easy, a little goes a long way. My skin is so soft, I've bought expensive creams and never had anything this nice before.
    Wonderful facial oil!

Thank you Camden Grey for this product! I never knew about Squalane until I saw it in this website. Ordered it out of curiosity, and love it so much now, I can't go without it. Now I use it regularly, by itself on my face, it penetrates fast and skin feels light and glowy. And I don't have to buy expensive lotions anymore! Also love the fact that Camden Grey gives you so much info on the products. This site has been my favorite for a long time.

Ran into a friend yesterday who wanted to know what I'm "doing different". I've using squalane for about a week, mostly around my eyes and throat. There's a definite difference in the firmness and texture of my skin, and the fine lines I had are just about invisible. Some may call it a 'face lift in a bottle', I prefer to call it my own little miracle. Keep carrying it, please, because I plan to keep buying it.
    Very smooth

That's the first thing you'll notice, its very silky, just lovely for face. As far as comparison to emu, no, Emu is still my choice for healing and emu is an outperfmorner in other applications as well. However, Squalane is definitely a "top shelf" product, you will feel pampered with it. Every time I used it, I smiled - what a product, what a pleasant surprise!

I was ordering shark liver Squalane for years from another company. I tried Camden-Grey's olive oil derived Squalane and I can truly say that I find there are absolutely no differences in the product except for the large price savings by switching to olive oil derived. I am 45 and people think I am in my young 30's. I use Squalane at night and even in the morning. I just apply my foundation over it and then use a powder to soak up any oily shine. Olive oil derived Squalane is about 1/4 the price of Shark liver derived - and since the olive oil one is just as good - why spend the additional money if you don't have to? I give this 5 stars!
    Outstanding stuff.

Absolutely an incredibly good price for squalane, which is a wonder in this world. I like this better than emu even for penetration & healing.

    HOW PRODUCTS ARE DISPENSED...

    BOTTLING/PACKAGING:

Essential oils: Are sold only in the quantities/net weights listed on our website. These oils are shipped to us by the distiller or manufacturer in industry-standard metal or plastic containers and that’s how we ship them to you.

Carrier oils and most other liquids are dispensed in individual HDPE plastic pails or containers with some type of handle, each container holds the purchased net weight of liquid.

Soft butters such as Horsetail and Almond are dispensed in plastic HDPE pails w/metal handles; those butters may remain inside the pails indefinitely when properly stored. Hard butters such as Cocoa are dispensed factory-wrapped in plastic and placed inside a box. Castile Gel is dispensed in a self-contained cubitainer with pouring spout.

NOTE: While the packaging methods mentioned above are generalized, we reserve the right to dispense and ship in any available container. If a customer at any time feels more comfortable transferring an essential or carrier oil to glass, this should be done.

Raw materials/ingredients are sold and dispensed by weight. Many customers ask how many ounces are in a pound, there are 16 ounces in one pound. These are not fluid ounces, they are ounces by weight.

HOW TO STORE: EOs, FOs and BUTTERS should be stored in tightly-sealed containers away from direct light and heat. Some EOs and FOs could be highly flammable, keep away from open flames and from varnished or wood surfaces. Keep all liquids and powders you purchase from Camden-Grey tightly capped and away from the reach of children, the elderly or infirm and pets. Refrigerating butters could adversely affect the consistency of a butter, please join our Forum if you need to learn how to handle, work with and store products.
