    Vanilla Cream fragrance oil, phthalate free, cosmetic grade, premium grade.  Sold by weight.

    From our soap tester:

    Sweet notes of creamy vanilla with nuances of brown sugar.

    CP: Discolors a bit in CP, although it's not horrid. It's the color of coffee with a LOT of cream - sort of a medium tan. Smells like vanilla. Strong, creamy scent.

    MP: Wow - a totally non-browning vanilla that didn't cloud the soap and actually smells like a true buttery vanilla (this is hard to find!)  I'm really impressed.  It has a strong scent, too .. really, really good!! It smells really good, too ... this would be a great blending vanilla. And I'm just so surprised that it didn't brown at ALL!!!!!

    NOTE:  Any product containing vanilla or derivatives of vanilla will tend to turn dark as it ages.  Ageing could take place 3 months from the manufacturing date, 6 months or later.  For an oil, this means that you may receive the oil with a light yellow color today but may receive the same oil in a much darker reddish-brown color three months from now or later.  This color change does not mean the product is old or expired, it’s the same product but its components have transformed as time passes.  If you will use a vanilla-containing oil in any soap making process, please read our fragrance oil descriptions.  All fragrances have been tested in soap making processes by an experienced soapmaker, the results she obtained are included in our descriptions.

    This oil has not been tested by us in candles, please conduct your own testing.  Flash point: >200F.  Ethyl Vanillin: 10.65%.  Vanillin: 0.11%.

    This smell is cake fresh from the oven. It's delectable. I have used it mixed with other scents to pull more vanilla into the scent, but have not used it alone. I fear that if I make hot process soap with it, people will simply eat the bars of soap. I kid you not. You will be forced to bake a cake after you smell this scent. It holds its own against other scents, offering a nice 'finish' to those that are all floral and need another note.

    I got this and the vanilla lace to compare, and while I love both, this one is probably my favorite. It's very clean and smells like vanilla-in-food rather than vanilla bean, so in my opinion it blends with other scents better.
    Delicious!

    This oil is my favorite fragrance oil so far. It smells so sweet & edible. Like a fresh baked cake. No discoloring at all, and I LOVE it!

    TERMINOLOGY:

    EO = essential oil

    FO = fragrance oil

    HOW PRODUCTS ARE DISPENSED...

    BOTTLING/PACKAGING:

    Essential oils: Are sold only in the quantities/net weights listed on our website. These oils are shipped to us by the distiller or manufacturer in industry-standard metal or plastic containers and that’s how we ship them to you.

    Carrier oils and most other liquids are dispensed in individual HDPE plastic pails or containers with some type of handle, each container holds the purchased net weight of liquid.

    Soft butters such as Horsetail and Almond are dispensed in plastic HDPE pails w/metal handles; those butters may remain inside the pails indefinitely when properly stored. Hard butters such as Cocoa are dispensed factory-wrapped in plastic and placed inside a box. Castile Gel is dispensed in a self-contained cubitainer with pouring spout.

    NOTE: While the packaging methods mentioned above are generalized, we reserve the right to dispense and ship in any available container. If a customer at any time feels more comfortable transferring an essential or carrier oil to glass, this should be done.

    Raw materials/ingredients are sold and dispensed by weight. Many customers ask how many ounces are in a pound, there are 16 ounces in one pound. These are not fluid ounces, they are ounces by weight.

    HOW TO STORE: EOs, FOs and BUTTERS should be stored in tightly-sealed containers away from direct light and heat. Some EOs and FOs could be highly flammable, keep away from open flames and from varnished or wood surfaces. Keep all liquids and powders you purchase from Camden-Grey tightly capped and away from the reach of children, the elderly or infirm and pets. Refrigerating butters could adversely affect the consistency of a butter, please join our Forum if you need to learn how to handle, work with and store products.
